Wednesday, December 27 - Will Someone Please Grease the Axle of My Hamster Wheel??

Long week, and it's only Wednesday... first of all, belated Happy Holidays to everyone. Second, the weekly column is up. Enjoy. Second, this page is going to be pretty sparse. My home laptop died (my fault, but it's too long to explain) and took the original column with it; I still don't have it back up and running, which is why I didn't post all weekend, although I did manage (with assistance from my father) to get around to fixing the brakes on the car. Tomorrow I'm flying to Seattle for a job interview, and I have another long-distance phone interview that was originally going to be in-person today. The apartment is filled to the brim with my parents and brothers, and we're taking care of Megan while her mother recovers from giving birth to new baby-brother Kevin. Whew.

How was your weekend? <G>

The holidays were a success for us; yes, Keri got me a very nice Handspring Visor, the graphite one. Very happy with it, thank you. The amusing bit is a poem I wrote, with apologies to Robert Frost, a few months ago when an aquaintance also purchased a Visor (slightly modified to make it more generic)

Graphite and Ice

Some say the Visor will be graphite,
Some say in ice.
From iMacs seen in good light,
I hold with those who favor graphite.
But if it must be purchased twice,
(one for a friend - how nice)
I must admit that for Visors ice
is also great,
and would suffice.

Yes, thank you, I won't quit the day job. <G>

Possibly more later, but most likely not until Friday. Later all, happy leftover-eating...
