  Cowsmic Castaway
Keri's replacement for the Purple Cow. So, what do you get when you cross a BSD Horizon with a BSD Diablo? Either a "Dirizon" or a "Horablo." We haven't figured it out yet. After the spectacular loss of Keri's Purple Cow at Lowden, she decided to get back at it and build the next generation of the Cow. The problem was she couldn't decided whether she wanted to try and make a BSD Horizon or another BSD Diablo. The challenge was coming up with the cool bits of both. It has the body tube and nose cone of the Horizon and the fins of the Diablo. After simming it out, it came out just right. Because Keri can not be near epoxy, she prepped the rocket and Matt pieced it together for her. The current plan is for it to be a black background and bright blue cow spots edged in metallic silver. Cowsmic Castaway is a play on the song title "Cosmic Castaway" from the Titan A.E. movie soundtrack. The first flight is planned for 21 September at the Dayton, WA launch on a 2 grain Cesaroni.

After speaking with Mr. Davis about the Cowsmic, Keri recieved this balled from him in honor of the Purple Cow. It was so good, that she wrote it on the Cowsmic Castaway. Oh, that and she got a personal alarm, so she can find the thing when it launches and not lose it in the wheat fields!

The Ballad of the Purple Cow

Purple and white,
Her colors be.
Tried to light,
and finally broke free.
Crowd went Moo.

It took to the air,
under western skies.
Eaten by a combine,
Sure to die.
Cow's done gone.

Arose from the ashes,
In a cloud of dust.
It's back from the dead,
And ready to bust.
Cow's come home.

Her sister was there,
In a big disguise,
Ready to rumble,
Into the western skies,
Cow's Big Fun.

  Design & Construction
There's very little peculiar or unusual about this rocket; it was built around a standard BSD Diablo, like the Purple Cow, but instead of the short Diablo airframe this rocket has a full Horizon-length airframe.
